Where We Work
Winnebago County is home ground and Rockford is the county seat. From here the work runs north up the Rock River corridor, east into Boone County, and west into the farm townships. Every town on this list sits inside the Rockford metro, and the ground under all of them is the same story: clay, deep frost, and a spring thaw that takes driveways apart.
North of the city the Rock River is the spine. Loves Park sits immediately north of Rockford and Machesney Park sits north of that, both inside the Rockford Park District footprint. Keep going and you reach Roscoe, in Roscoe Township, then Rockton to its west, both in the northern tier of the county near the Wisconsin line.
East of Rockford the county changes. Belvidere is the Boone County seat, and Poplar Grove is a village and a township in that same county. Cherry Valley straddles the line, sitting mostly in Winnebago County with a small piece reaching into Boone. The village of Winnebago sits out in the county's farm townships, where the driveways get long and a lane turns into a real project.

One practical note on the ring towns. Apron work at the street answers to whoever owns the road, and that is a different office in Rockford, in Loves Park, in Belvidere, and in unincorporated county ground. We confirm which one applies before anybody digs.
